talking about ethics

Just called the HR of NUH. It seems like there will not be allowance given to us. It's just so saddening.
Should we fight for it? Previously, when KJV mentioned that some other institutions pay $1750, they reacted so dramatically, saying that that shouldn't be the case and it's unethical. So this time, when other institutions are paying $300-350/month housing allowance, which will make up a total of at least $2K salary, isn't that even more unethical? Gradually even before I start working, I tend to realize that NUH does not have very good welfare for their workers. Sigh...

How am I going to survive? I know with the current expenses of about $500/month, and when I'm paid more than triple, definitely CAN SURVive.... But there will be no savings, no investment, and how about allowance given to parents?

O God, please help me to give thanks and be contented.
