Cloverfield

Hann and me watched Cloverfield at GVmax.
It was a very short show, lasting 85 minutes on the dot.
Though it's short, it's definitely something fresh for the year, at least it can be the show of the month. The whole thing is like a home video, nothing more nothing less... contributing to its horror factor. It reminds me of the show The Others starring Nicole Kidman, I left feeling almost the same way, the aftermath is freaky, horrifying...
Indeed, there is a Godzilla in the show, but that's totally not the highlight.... which makes this show even more unique.
The show reflected the self-absorbed facebook cum Youtube world of today... in quite a true manner.

Well, if this happens in Singapore, the Manhatten bridge will be the second link or the Woodlands bridge, and I bet Singaporeans will be much faster than the Americans. (kiasu-ism and kiasi-ism). On the other hand, might not be the case as well, coz we are such complacent people.

I asked Hann whether he'll come back to save me like the guy did in the show. He thought for a while and before he got to answer, I said," If it's me, I won't..." You'll never know what's gonna happen until you in it.

I like what one of the top reviewer said - Cloverfield takes you into the heart of a maelstom and leaves you there.
