This blog was started in October 2005. I don't remember exactly the reason why the blog was started. Maybe it's because I was depressed and feeling rather emotional about the circumstances around me, maybe because it was the trend, maybe it's because of Serene. Oh well... I've forgotten. Anyway, Happy 2nd anniversary Birdieruns!!! I did not forget that it started off as mutedpraises.blogspot.com. Well, you might ask me why mutedpraises and why the change? I blogged about it when I switched the name to birdieruns (which is totally not creative I know). Incidentally, the name was also changed in Oct, which is exactly one year after mutedpraises was borned. Haha....
Well, some pictures for now...
I adore custards since I was young. Every morning when I go for breakfast with my dad I'll order custard. They'll usually give me a cup of ice water, in which I'll take a sip or two after I'm done with the custard. Custards just make me happy. (yet...fattening. That is why I was plump when I was in secondary school)
Well, why do I suddenly talk about custards?!
Because... I've finally made my own custard! (I actually tried making one when I was 16, but failed miserably as I made it the same manner as how your mothers will made steam eggs, just that I added sugar instead of salt. It came out wrinkled, and I was sad)
So this is the custard I made. Original one and the tangerine one ( I added some orange peel, courtesy of Thunder). I like both of them. However, I feel that it would be better if it wasn't that sweet, and if the caramel is more aromatic.
Attack!!! I think one of them is Hwachin. (Photo courtesy: Wong Hwa Chin)
An overdue photo of my outing with Sanmin at Bugis Village. (Vain pot!)

Oh... I watched Lust, Caution yesterday night. It was very well done, the music, the background, the colors everything is just so matching. I especially like the way the music is matched to the scenes, it actually intensifies the emotions and the ambiance soooo well. Although 90% of the sex and violence is cut, but I'll still give 4 stars to the cut-version. However, I kinda feel that LeeHom kinda spoilt the show. Indeed, he is very handsome, but his voice, his character just doesn't suit a student who is fighting for their country. I just gives me the creeps when I see him act in such a role, and the way he speaks... It's just so ABC! Anyway, Tony Leung and Tang Wei are great!!!! Both of them saved the show. Though it was a more than 2-hour show, I don't feel a tinge of boredom. It was really well done!
