What esther had said last night was so true. Why we've been feeling kinda lost is because of the weird academic calender of NUS. For the outside world, it's a whole new year 2007!... While for us in NUS, it's just the continuation to another semester, still within the same academic year. No wonder I've been feeling kinda disoriented, and not definitely not that excited when the new year has arrived.

The excitement is definitely dampened by the consistent rain. It's just so weird... When we thought that "oh well, it seems that the rainy season has been rather short this year", it seems that the rainy season is yet to come. For the years that I've known, the rainy season falls in december, peaks after Christmas, and usually end by early January. But this year round, things seemed to have changed a little. It's nearing mid Jan, and intermittent rain has been going on for almost 24hours as for yesterday and today!!! This is a December phenomenon... I guess the earth is really facing an environment crisis, even affecting the Equator region. For now, all I wish for is that when the "drought" comes about, it will be kind and mild.

As for the confusion between the new semester and the new 2007,I guess we just have to merge and complement them both. It's our attitude that matters. Whether one wants to go through it as it has always been, or take initiatives and make things happen. I hope that I'm the latter.
