This has been another week mugging for CA. Have been going to the library for the first 3days of the week... Now when I see the medical library, I can feel a sense of disgust. However, I can foresee that things will not get better, instead might get worse, and I just have to gather myself together to face what's coming up.
I'm very compelled to blog today about the relation between age and maturity after I heard of a story from my fren. Indeed one who is older in age should be more matured than one who is younger. Obvious example, a 20year old should be more matured than a 15 year old. I guess this is based more on experience in life, what one has seen and learnt from for that extra 5 years. But one thing is for sure, for many around us, maturity does not correlates with age. Well, who sets the criterias for one's level of maturity? I guess somehow you can judge maturity by how a person reacts to circumstances as well as the logic going through one's mind. I'm just rather disturbed by how illogical and irrational some people can be. How they react to things when they're way past 20, reacting to situations in a manner of an adolescent. And sometimes it's even worse than that.
Truely, a person's maturity level can be highly influenced by their age and experience, which brings me to another observation, or should I say deduction. Maturity level or how a person's handle a specific circumstances is also dependent on one's upbringing. This is highly related to a person's character and principles. Parents indeed has great influence in our lives, and a lot of times, it's an unconscious influence. We tend to imitate our parents in many ways that we ourselves might have oversee. I guess I picked up some from my Dad and Mom... or sometimes aunties... The way I laugh, the jokes I make, and the kenchuengness too. I don't know but I just want to make this statement... How immature/illogical/irrational a person can be all voice down to a person's personality--> which is highly linked to a person's upbringing. This might sound sensitive or offensive to some, as we're bringing in parents/relatives and all. But I guess this is a very true phenomenon.
Lastly, I just hope that these people would eventually change for their own good, as well as the good of the people around them.
