The Frugal Act

Me and Hann has been rather spendthrift in our outings for the past 2 weeks, basically the money has all been going into expensive food. I don't know why, our discipline is quite poor when it comes to frugality. Everytime after burning out pockets, then we'll swear not to spend like this for the following month. Then who knows, after less than a week... "oh, that's a nice restaurant, let's go try! It's the weekend! We should just enjoy!" Then, there goes the burning again... I think we don't have any pockets in any of our pants anymore, all burnt!!! Charred!
Thus, we decided that nothing can deter us from splurging unless there's a heavy punishment in place, or on a better light, incentive for saving. Thus, we decided to draw out an act, calling it simply THE FRUGAL ACT.
The essence of this act is not to spend more than $5 in every meal that we have together, not including drinks. Duration of the act will be up to 17/11/07 which is our first year anniversary day...(so that we can have a blast without crying the day after that). Offenders will be punished severely that he/she will have to starve for the next meal. (It's cruel...).
This act commenced officially on 28/9/07 and we have been successful up till now.

The concept of frugality inevitably affected my normal life too, coupled with the fact that Thunder has been anorexic these few days, I have been eating bread for breakfast and lunch. I even walked back just to save on bus money, and ate salad with sardine sandwiches for dinner, and I thought I have been very successful in my determination to save.
Who knows! Hwa saw an ad about shoes sales at Vivo, and I don't know how, we ended up going there, and I spent $37 on a pair of really high wedges!!!Yup, there goes my savings....
But!!! I still believe that our frugality act will work, and we'll manage to save a significant amount of money.... for us to spend it all on our anniversary..Haha...Joking!... At least we won't cut our hearts out for the presents and all... Haha!!!
