Thank God as He has truly been the Jehovah Jireh, my provider! I prayed that He'll give us a lovely home as we were walking to view the house at Clementi, which is like 5 minutes away from NUS. And truly the house turned out to be almost perfect, like what HC said.
It was at the 2nd level, low level indeed, but ventilation was decent and yes we can avoid taking the scary HDB lift. It's about 5 minutes walk to the bus stop, which is 2 stops to NUS, and 8 minutes walk to Clementi Central!
The first thing about the house is its spacious living room and yes the KITCHEN! So neat and clean!!! I feel in love with the kitchen and the dining table, wooden set of well varnished tables and 6 chairs! Perfect for the home! Thunder and I decided to choose the room facing the front which is squarish and seemed to have the best ventilation, but there will be no aircon. But the best thing is that we have our own cabinets, a queen-size bed, and our own study tables.
We'll be shifting in early May, and the 5-hour maid will be here to clean the whole house on the 1st of May. This means that I have about 30 more days in Sheares Hall. And these 30days will be interspersed with reading weeks, CAs, and last but not least, examination. For now, the thought is sinking in slowly. Mixture of feelings inside me. Sad to leave this comfort zone and the friends that I've been staying with for the past 3 years, and yet excited about my new house and what is to come.
Specially for Yeelian, I'll invite u to eat dinner at my house during weekends k? No worries.
