I headed to Hong Kong the day after exams. Let me share my very first Hong Kong trip with you all.

I wanted to go to Hong Kong since a year ago, partly due to its appealing food, partly due to the influence of Hong Kong drama series from the age of 4, and definitely would like experience the Hong Kong way of life. But well, what is the HK way of life? You can only feel it when you're there.
Talking about the fast-pace life of Singapore, it's nothing as compared to HK. They walk really fast over there, and the worst thing is that people kept knocking against you and all. The streets are always buzzling with activities. It's definitely very happening, even until midnight. This is definitely a good point, coz shopping can be done even past 10pm. (In Singapore, shops will even start closing at 930pm, totally pathetic!)...

Em, I think i should just summarise my findings... instead of this chronic mumbling...

Good points of HK:
- great food anytime anywhere, cheap too. (delicious wan tan mee, at 12midnight for 2bucks!)
- great deal of shopping even till midnight.
- cheap birdnest and lovely fresh mango dessert.
- esprit warehouse sales! (discount 50-80%)
- HK disneyland is nice for SEA standard... Really enjoyed Golden Mickey, 3D show, and fireworks!!!(Feels like visiting the US one.)2bucks wan tan mee....
The lovely Mango Dessert and "Hui Lui San"... The white thing on top is birdnests!!!

Bad points about HK:
- Heavily polluted with car exhaust
- people are allowed to smoke anywhere, even indoor... Walking chimneys definitely. (Once in a wan tan mee store, 80% of the customers were smoking away inside the shop, we almost died)
- Honkies walked too fast, too rushed. Lifestyle's too hectic!
- The streets are forever buzzling with activities, difficult to find quietness and peace. Well, except at the Peak. (only the rich can afford houses at the hills)
- Roads are narrow, dirty and congested... definitely disorganised, thus very easy to get lost.

Bottomline: The trip was definitely an eye-opener. It's refreshing to experience the life of the HKies, and yes frankly, I like Singapore more. Now I know what's heavily populated and fast-pace life... It's scary. Well, I really hated the haze and pollution. This trip has been good but I think I will not be going back to Hong Kong at least for the next 10 years.
