Pastor Derek is cool

It's great to be back at COOS. I've left COOS for so long that I didn't know that the front door has been renovated..tsk tsk tsk...

Chris, Champ and I went for the 4pm service on Saturday, since the guys were down to visit us on Rag Day. We were just on time, and seats were kinda full, only left with the 2nd row from the front. It was rather daunting initially as this is my first time sitting so near to the stage. Worship was just awesome and the band was loud...!!! I just can feel the presence of God, His lovely presence that I've been missing for such a long time(been a month since Australia). I was so joyful deep down in my heart, and I can really feel the peace, and seriously no one can offer you this feeling besides the Father.

Pastor Derek continued his series on God in our work, and this week the topic is called, "Make Failures Our Friend"...
Repeated failures are signposts on the road to Success!
This is so true!!!! Pastor asked us to give him our best impression of God... the crowd was so interactive, people started shouting their opinions directly to the stage. "Father...Healer... Merciful... ". At the end pastor himself gave his own personal favourite: COOK! He's such a food-lover... He put it in such a wonderful way... He mentioned that God is just like the chief cook, taking something that is so insignificant, or even something that is being discarded and make it into some delicious cuisine. A very good example would be the curry fish head! Hahaha... Pastor Derek is just so hilarious and I just love his sermons. So relevant and yet funny.

School will be officially starting tomorrow!!! 3months of holiday good-bye!!! I need to work hard this semester!!!
