Singlehood

The thought about singlehood has never been quite an issue to many till lately. Weird... Guess girls are truly emotional creatures afterall. Well, this thing about not being able to find a bf, me and Jar have planned it long time ago..."Well, we can stay together...."

What mothers are thinking these days are really peculiar. Worrying that their daughters will remain single and lonely. Haha... Tinghui's and yeelian's moms discussion were seriously an "ear-opener". "Maybe we brought up our daughters too strictly... That's why till now stil got no boyfren..."...." Her first year finished already, but still...." Why do moms have to worry about all these when their daughters are just in their early 20s? I bet my mom is having such thoughts too... Just that these few months i've been so stressed out, she didn't pop the question.

The singlehood issue came along 2 days before exams, when sanmin suddenly asked me..."em, what if we cannot find a boyfren... I'm kinda concerned (concern is a milder word..)". My goodness, she will be the last person I would hear this sentence from. You see, Sanmin is a happy-go-lucky girl, smarty in school, didn't know she thinks about this sort of stuffs as well... My goodness, this is really becoming an issue.

This issue has once again popped up when I was chatting with my dear fren Ivon. She has been single for half a year, quite a success for her. "well it's good that sometimes we have a shoulder to lean on..." Truly it's right, but well, her case with Joel has shown, you can't just lean on any shoulders that come along.
Yeelian came in, and i just popped this issue to her, and guess what, the girls were discussing about it last night when i went out for supper.!!!!

Well, as what i've told Ivon, I believe there's someone out there for us. Just that, the time is not yet here. I think I'm not ready for that as well. Girls like to be pampered and loved, and i believe that guys want that too, and am I ready to give such commitment? Previous experience told me that maybe not...

Is is really bad to be single? For now, I don't think so. I'd rather wait for one that I truly love. You can't just say" Since he's so nice to me, then maybe I should be nice to him as well..." That's truly what thunder said " Mo seng kak..." (No attitude, no principles) haha!Thinking about all the mess and fuss it can bring when it doens't work out, really makes me feel better and lucky to be single sometimes.

Well, hope that mom doesn't think too much too. I believe she knows that the Lord has His plans for me. As i've said, there's definitely more to life than this. Might as well use your life here to do some good, live it to the fullest, bring some goodness and joy to the people around you, as well as those who come along... shall be more sensitive to the needs of those around me... Have been quite cold and and insensitive due to all the stress.

Lastly, All moms should stop worrying!
